Amplify (Megaphone Remix) is a revisiting of Jon Corbin's 2020 song featuring contributions from four Canadian underground Hip Hop artists Orijin, Es, Anthony Sawyers & Creo.
This song is a beautiful demonstration of why a variety of Black voices should be engaged. These five Black artists share five unique & stirring expressions of "navigating the world while Black" that will help continue the antiracist effort.
Directed by Jordan Ramitt, the video drops Friday November 18 @ Noon EST
Last Fall, an amazing group of people helped crowdfund an effort to press my first vinyl, a maxi-single of Amplify and Outcry, protest songs written in 2020. After several Covid-related delays, the records have landed in my hands. It is amazing to see my name on a record.
This vinyl EP contains a re-mixed version of Amplify, a revisited version of Outcry (featuring my friend Aubrey Noronha), a jazzy extended remix of Outcry from Johnny Bishop, plus a FIVE EMCEE extended remix of Amplify. There are some true gems here.
When you buy the vinyl you also get an extended digital maxi-single of 10 tracks with even more versions of the two songs plus interludes that help the project play like a full album.
